Job title: CNC Programmer

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with hands-on experience programming and operating Haas CNC machines, including 3-axis vertical mills (VF-4, VF-5), DS-30 lathes, and a Haas EC-400 horizontal mill.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks CAM and CAMWorks and capable of programming complex parts from castings, plate, and bar stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using SolidWorks CAM and CAMWorks for:
- Haas VF-4 and VF-5 vertical mills
- Haas DS-30 lathes
- Haas EC-400 horizontal mill
- Interpret 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to generate efficient and accurate tool paths
- Choose the appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates to ensure efficient and accurate production while minimizing material waste and tool wear.
- Knowledge of different materials and their machining characteristics is important for selecting appropriate cutting tools and parameters.
- Work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability
- Perform test runs and troubleshoot programs as needed to ensure first-pass yield
- Maintain accurate records of programs and tooling setups
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for machining processes, cycle times, and tool life
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience with Haas machines
- Proficient in SolidWorksCAM and CAMWorks
- Experience machining from castings, bar stock, and plate
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding of feeds, speeds, and machining best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment producing custom or small-batch parts
- Familiarity with fixture design and setup optimization
- Previous experience in the packaging equipment industry
