What You'll Be Doing:
- Drive Innovation: Lead and participate in diverse, multi-disciplinary projects that tackle a wide range of business problems, including production automation, drilling optimization, process automation, dashboard deployment, and computer vision for operational excellence.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that enhance productivity and operational outcomes. Help advance the company’s analytical workflows and bring new technologies and best practices into the fold.
- Business Impact: Play a pivotal role in solving critical business problems by using data analytics and machine learning models to drive decisions that affect core business operations.
- Adoption of New Tech: Contribute to the development and integration of emerging technologies in data science and machine learning, including generative AI and other advanced analytics tools.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a technical advisor to other team members, guiding them in the best practices for data analytics, optimization, and model deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover key insights in large datasets and drive actionable business solutions.
- Build and deploy machine learning models to optimize business functions, from automation to process improvements.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders and help guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and define data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of data analytics best practices across the organization, ensuring that data science efforts align with business goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, with proven experience managing and analyzing large datasets.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, data mining tools, and experience with machine learning models.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with business leaders and technical experts.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, with previous exposure to oil and gas operations or energy sector workflows.
- Additional Skills: Proficiency in additional programming languages such as SQL, R, or C++.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience workflows, and unconventional exploitation programs.
