What You’ll Be Doing:

• Code Evaluation & Review: Assess the quality of AI-generated code and provide insightful, human-readable feedback on its strengths and weaknesses.
• Solve Coding Challenges: Work on a variety of coding tasks—write functional, efficient code for AI models and improve their performance.
• Create Test Cases: Develop robust test cases to ensure code works effectively and meets high standards.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Engage with AI models in unique and challenging projects, such as choosing the best piece of Python code or building a full mobile app from scratch to enhance chatbot performance.

Our technical project manager describes the work as a blend of "solving coding problems, writing guides, and reviewing code before it goes into the model." Expect everything from coding reviews to complex AI-driven app-building tasks.

Tech Stack Priorities:

We’re looking for engineers with expertise in Python. If you’re a data scientist or a software engineer proficient in Python, you’ll be a great fit! Experience with additional programming languages is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering/development role.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Complete fluency in English with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Detail-oriented: Ability to maintain consistency in writing and follow style guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills: Enjoy solving difficult coding challenges and breaking down complex issues.

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or similar).
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Ruby, Swift, Go, R, Rust, and other languages.
• Contributions to coding communities or notable projects.
• Experience with AI/ML, NLP, or technical writing.
• Continuous learner: Stay on top of the latest trends in coding and technology.
• Teaching spirit: Passion for mentoring AI models and explaining coding concepts to others.

Interview Process:

• Step 1: Apply via the Ashby form.
• Step 2: If you’re a strong fit, we’ll send you an async RLHF (Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback) code review to complete within 72 hours (approx. 35 minutes).
• Step 3: After passing the RLHF task, we’ll set up a group onboarding call to discuss your next steps and answer any questions.
• Step 4: Complete a simulated production-level task on the RLHF platform to finalize your interview. Successfully completing this step will earn you a spot in the team and access to ongoing projects.
