The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Data Scientist I to join our Investment Science Team. In this exciting junior-level role, you’ll work alongside data science and investment professionals to analyze complex financial data and provide high-impact insights. If you’re passionate about applying novel statistical methods and collaborating on innovative projects, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate & Deliver: Work with data scientists and investment professionals to analyze key financial data—think portfolio performance, asset class analysis, and manager performance.
• Curate & Create: Build and curate new data sets that provide actionable intelligence.
• Innovative Analysis: Apply cutting-edge statistical methods to analyze data and solve complex financial problems.
• Collaborate & Contribute: Contribute to R&D efforts, write unit tests, and engage in code reviews.
• Automation & Scalability: Automate the delivery of insights through cloud infrastructure to enhance efficiency and impact.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data science or a related field, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in R or Python (ideally both) for coding and data analysis.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a deep passion for solving complex problems using data.
• Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a flexible environment—whether remote or in-person.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity: A curious mindset and a commitment to life-long learning, particularly in the areas of finance and investment management.
