As a Senior Data Scientist at Deloitte, you will work with industry leaders to design and implement large-scale data ecosystems, enabling companies to unlock the power of their data and make smarter, data-driven decisions. You will collaborate on designing reusable data ingestion systems, integrating structured and unstructured data, and ensuring data governance best practices are followed—all while advising and delivering innovative solutions to clients across industries.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Data Transformation: Drive the modernization of data ecosystems and optimize business processes to support data management and analytics at scale.
- Innovative Design & Implementation: Create data integration solutions, design data ingestion patterns, and build systems that bridge the gap between internal and external data sources.
- Data Strategy & Insights: Provide strategic guidance to clients by using advanced data mining, predictive modeling, and visualization tools to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- End-to-End Data Delivery: Own the full data lifecycle, from requirements gathering to script writing, testing, deployment, and enhancement validation.
- Optimize Data Access: Ensure effective and efficient access to data across various warehouses, crafting solutions for streamlined extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, STEM, or a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus!)
- 2+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with hands-on experience in:
- Data mining, pattern matching, and predictive modeling using tools like Python.
- Designing and implementing visualizations and reporting for structured and unstructured data using Plotly, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Developing and automating ETL processes using Spark and Kubeflow.
- Building data models and reports in Jupyter Notebooks for data performance measurement.
- Proficiency in data cleansing, data transformation, and data quality functions (standardization, rationalization, matching).
- Experience in relational databases (MySQL) and creating actionable business insights from them.
- Strong technical and functional writing skills, capable of producing technical specifications, data models, and process diagrams.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with advanced data integration solutions and large-scale data ecosystem implementation.
- Familiarity with data governance, data access optimization, and big data technology solutions.
Travel & Location:
- 5% travel required nationally (client sites and Deloitte offices).
