What You'll Do:

As a Staff Applied Scientist, you'll develop AI-driven solutions and infrastructure that shape the future of connected operations.

???? Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of AI-powered product features and infrastructure.
• Analyze sensor, diagnostic, video, and text data to build strategic AI models.
• Develop tactical AI solutions and long-term research initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable solutions across Samsara’s platform.
• Stay connected to academic and industry research, adopting cutting-edge technology.

What You Bring to the Table:

Must-Haves:

• ???? Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, or related field
• ???? 5+ years of experience in AI/ML product development
• ???? Proficiency in Python, Spark, or Ray
• ???? Strong understanding of iterative ML development processes
• ???? Experience delivering production-grade AI models
• ???? Effective communicator for both technical and non-technical audiences
• ???? Proven ability to mentor and coach scientists

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field
