???? The Role: Staff Data Scientist (Signals Team)

Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for data and innovation? As a Staff Data Scientist on our Signals Team, you’ll harness Crunchbase’s dynamic dataset, blending behavioral, private, and proprietary data to deliver actionable insights and predictions that fuel smarter decision-making for our users.

We're seeking a technical leader with a passion for mentorship, a deep curiosity about data, and the creativity to craft personalized, meaningful user experiences.


???? What You’ll Do:

  • Intelligence Innovation: Lead the design and deployment of Machine Learning and NLP algorithms to extract insights from complex datasets.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Architecture Leadership: Influence the mid and long-term direction of data architecture, building scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product teams, engineers, and data scientists to integrate solutions seamlessly.
  • Technology Exploration: Stay on top of emerging technologies, driving innovation and adoption of new tools.
  • Data-Driven Culture: Build tools and processes that empower teams to make data-driven decisions.

???? What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in data science and engineering (Python, SQL, pandas, etc.).
  • Proven expertise in NLP and Machine Learning algorithm implementation for production environments.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and system architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with a passion for helping team members grow.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Salary Range: $195,000 - $220,000 USD
