In this critical leadership role, you’ll guide the development of advanced AI/ML solutions to create the next generation of UAS/Avionics subsystems.

???? Key Objectives of the Role:

  • AI Pioneer: Lead the development of advanced, physics-based AI/ML algorithms and models that power future aerospace systems.
  • Innovative Research: Drive breakthrough research in AI applications for UAS/Avionics subsystems and defense technologies.
  • AI Architect: Serve as the system architect for AI development, creating next-gen AI frameworks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and analysts, driving the delivery of cutting-edge AI solutions.
  • Thought Leader: Author proposals and articles, and represent our team at conferences as a recognized expert in the field.
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor junior AI staff, developing the next generation of AI experts.

???? Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • AI System Leadership: Lead the design and development of AI systems and embedded avionics solutions.
  • Sensor Fusion: Direct the development of AI/ML sensor fusion for aircraft systems, enhancing capabilities and integration.
  • Algorithm Review: Oversee the review of AI/ML architectures and algorithms to ensure they meet integrated design requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage AI progress on multiple projects, ensuring research objectives are met.
  • Collaboration: Lead integration with a multidisciplinary engineering team, driving the development of AI-driven hardware.

????? Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, AI, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on UAS, Avionics, AI, or Machine Learning.
  • 12+ years of experience leading AI/ML development in aerospace systems.
  • Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and other AI/ML frameworks.
  • Firmware Development experience for AI solutions.
  • Proven leadership in Machine Learning applied to Data Science and Technology.
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for security clearance (must pass government security investigation).
  • Valid driver’s license for potential travel needs.
