What You’ll Be Doing:
As our Senior CNC Programmer, you’ll be the mastermind behind producing high-quality parts using cutting-edge CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Crafting perfection through 3, 4, and 5-axis programming (with a strong focus on 5-axis) to create quality parts from composite and metallic materials.
- Interpreting drawings and specifications like a pro to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
- Taking charge with hands-on machine setup and program verification.
- Designing and fabricating custom CNC holding fixtures to support seamless production.
- Detecting and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions while ensuring the highest level of precision.
- Leading, coordinating, and mentoring machine operators to elevate team performance.
- Collaborating with engineers to innovate, improve processes, and reduce waste.
What We’re Looking For:
We need someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for precision manufacturing. Here’s what makes you the perfect fit:
Knowledge:
- Mastery of CNC machines, operations, and languages.
- Solid experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and a drive to eliminate waste.
- Fluent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5M).
- Well-versed in precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
Skills:
- Expert-level programming with Mastercam; familiarity with CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and UG is a bonus.
- Experience with proofing software like Vericut.
- A pro at machining composite and metallic materials.
- Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Abilities:
- Natural leadership, problem-solving, and resourcefulness.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and schedules.
- A relentless focus on delivering quality and supporting production and development environments.
What You’ll Need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
- 15+ years of experience in machining and CNC programming.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work extended or flexible shifts.
- Sharp eyesight or glasses to review detailed drawings and blueprints.
