Key Responsibilities:
Safety First!
- Ensure safe operation of all production machinery and equipment.
- Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and wear necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Proactively address unsafe conditions and behaviors, creating a safer work environment for everyone.
- Participate in regular safety training to reinforce the culture of safety and compliance.
Daily Operations
- Monitor and evaluate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and address deviations from expected results.
- Perform quality measurements and correct any issues to meet product specifications.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machine and process issues.
- Complete regular operator checklists and contribute to daily reporting documentation.
Quality and Food Safety
- Ensure production is always aligned with company and customer quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure proper quality checks, labeling, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance.
- Handle non-conforming products per protocol and ensure food safety standards are upheld.
- Report any food safety or GMP issues immediately to supervisors.
Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead scheduled production changeovers and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Help maintain high standards of cleanliness for all equipment and production areas.
- Suggest improvements to enhance machine efficiency and productivity.
- Proactively manage inventory of parts and notify the Maintenance Manager when stock levels are low.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Ability to operate production machinery safely and effectively.
- Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues.
