Your Role: Drive Excellence in Naval Training Systems

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Lead the Charge: Oversee installation and operations of advanced naval networking equipment aboard Navy ships, ensuring seamless participation in training exercises like Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) and Ballistic Missile Defense Exercises (BMDEX).
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Support and troubleshoot complex systems, including the Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), AEGIS Combat Training Systems, and more.
  • Foster Reliability: Champion a culture of reliability-centered maintenance, utilizing advanced predictive testing to optimize planned activities.
  • Collaborate & Inform: Work closely with team members and the Fleet Synthetic Training Technical Operations Manager to maintain and improve system readiness.
  • Innovate Solutions: Analyze challenges, provide recommendations, and contribute to the evolution of military command, communications, and training methodologies.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience OR equivalent military and professional experience.
  • Proven expertise in shipboard installations and technical troubleshooting.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with naval operating systems and advanced networking equipment.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification and experience in cyber security frameworks.
  • Proficiency with RedHat operating systems, Microsoft server patching, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Exceptional customer focus and multitasking abilities.
