What You’ll Do:
- Develop Risk Models: Design, implement, and validate quantitative models to assess financial risks, such as market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
- Analyze Data: Utilize advanced statistical techniques, machine learning, and financial modeling to interpret large datasets and predict future risks.
- Implement Controls: Work closely with control teams to develop and enhance processes and methodologies that mitigate risk and strengthen financial safeguards.
- Support Decision-Making: Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders to support informed, data-driven decisions in risk management and compliance.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with finance, compliance, and audit teams to align risk models with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Improve Processes: Continuously refine risk models and methodologies to adapt to changing market conditions and emerging risks.
- Monitor Regulatory Changes: Stay up to date with evolving regulatory frameworks and industry best practices to ensure compliance in risk analytics.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, risk management, or financial modeling, with a focus on risk and controls.
- Expertise in quantitative modeling techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, time series analysis, optimization, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, with experience using data analytics and financial modeling libraries.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, including experience working with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or similar.
- Experience working with large datasets and advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, big data platforms).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to design and maintain high-quality risk models and controls.
Bonus Points:
- Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning techniques for risk prediction and mitigation.
- Familiarity with regulatory technology (RegTech) or tools for automating compliance and risk reporting.
- Certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
- A deep understanding of the financial services industry, including asset management, trading, or banking.
