The Automation Engineer is responsible for project management, system specifications, creation and updating of programs and interfaces for new and existing projects
Works with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments throughout the process to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all automated systems functions
Collaborates with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments in areas of focus to identify and implement continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities for programming and interfaces through TPM methodologies and/or EM (Early Management) principles
Leads and/or participates in TPM and/or EM activities in the plant ton include ensuring incident reports (root-cause-analysis) are completed per procedure
Programming PAC / PLCs as needed
Strong technical problem solving to include troubleshooting activities relating to equipment failures, process issues, quality and/or environmental issues to include regulatory requirements
