SAP PP Functional Analyst, Location:Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, documenting, and training in Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Management and Sales & Distribution
  • It is essential to have the ability to understand all Master Data involved in this process, as well as how Materials Requirements Planning, (MRP), is conducted, as well as how manufacturing operations are carried out
  • A strong understanding of quality management processes
  • International export experience, such as taxation, commercial invoicing, contracts
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed; may serve as a subject matter mentor to more junior team members
  • Creating/running ad-hoc queries
  • SQL, IDocs, EDI, and BAPI calls
  • Experience with both ECC and S/4HANA
  • Work within JIRA / Confluence
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously
  • The candidate must have a results-oriented attitude, and demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness

Responsibilities

  • The SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for implementing and supporting SAP solutions to meet business-related requirements
  • Collaborates with the business process teams and acts as a liaison between the business users and the SAP programming team
  • Must perform all tasks in the development cycle, starting with business process definition, configuration and unit testing, follow-up on user testing, as well as coordination of transports to production, training and post-live support and fixes
  • Must be able to discern business needs and translate into SAP-ABAP programming specs
  • Conduct investigation, analysis, and resolution of software problems in liaison with the client, business functions and the technical team
  • Ensure and maintain data integrity, monitor systems
  • In the event of a high priority issue, handle changes or emergency transports as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using ABAP debugger
  • Working knowledge of Variant Configuration, SAP Query, identifying SAP Objects, BAPIs and functional modules
  • Perform testing of completed development
  • Understand interaction with other systems used within supply chain (LIDS, QED, etc.)
  • Ensure that functional designs, test cases, and results are documented
  • Identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements by performing detailed analysis of complex business processes
  • Identify and propose improvements to business processes and/or systems in a proactive manner
  • Provide ad hoc education and training on SAP functionality for end-user support
  • Actively participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation from legacy systems (SAP ECC) and manage the data migration
  • Define SOPs, process flows and training
